UF/IFAS Plant Nutrient Research & Education Program

Florida's growers need fertilizer recommendations that are up-to-date and specific to sites where they grow their crops. UF/IFAS is conducting state-funded research into the application of nutrients (fertilizers) to commercial vegetable and fruit crops in order to update their recommendations for Agricultural Best Management Practices. Best Management Practices (BMPs) are used by Florida growers to grow their crops efficiently with minimal impact on the environment.
